Yep, and we all know that manufacturers have been adding a certain colour to the palette to garner more female buyers.....

I know you guys have said the test cars were " properly run in " but would there be any issues if it was looked after and serviced regularly ? Have found one close to home but alas its one of the " demo " ones. owner has told me he bought it from Ford with 10K on the clock and has owned it ever since . Should I look on ?

The Test cars (Press cars) are totally different to a dealer Demo model. there's not really any reason to steer clear if you can see the full service history and also i would suggest getting the car mechanically inspected first. it is worth the money. i recently did this on a car i purchased from interstate.

The Mako - RS powered 😏

« Reply #28 on: December 27, 2017, 08:28:50 PM »

Provided nothing really stupid was done to the car, they're a tough cookie. I pulled my original XR5 engine out at 260K still in running condition, as in, running well. Needs oil seals though. I fitted an RS engine. It has about 80K on it now and there's not even an oil trace in the turbo outlet. Nice engine  Tongue
I know a fella down south who has an ex press RS and it's good.
