Also, guys getting injectors and plenum fitted tomorrow. Just realised that I will need to drive the car home form the garage without having flashed the injector tune. Will this cause issues? Standard tunes should be okay to drive for 10k or so with RS size injectors right?
Hmmm, maybe replacing the sensor is the way to go then mate Sad It seems to be a common fault on the SwedeSpeed forums too so I'm guessing its a Volvo thing.
no other code displayed except for PO193
If most inputs are in normal range but it's rich or lean the ECU can make a good assumption in some cases.
You can physically measure fuel pressure and also watch what the ecu thinks it is.
Depends why it's thrown the error in the first place, but it will have been from watching multiple inputs and something is amis but points to a particular area.
Is it literally the sensor that has failed though? Or is it the fuel pump/injectors starting to go? Was there any system too rich, or too lean codes displayed?
thanks Robbo, would there be any issue with driving it with the sensor failing?
Bec and I got up and went to the martin place dawn service. Just finished work a little while ago. Been a long day. I did get a little nap in early but kinda hard with the 18's going over and excitement kicking in. See ya's in the morning.
April 25, 2015, 10:31:15 PM
Dunno, I'm not that smooth, I tend to grab the car by the scruff of the neck and throw it around. I know it well after so long, that helps, but it has to be pretty good so you can do that with it instead of pussy footing around a temperamental chassis.
April 25, 2015, 10:13:27 PM
Setup helps but the driver input is of more importance. So maybe Robbo, you just drive better than others Smiley
April 25, 2015, 08:11:01 PM
ElGreco, that error relates to fuel rail pressure sensor fault. The sensor is at the driver side end of the fuel rail, near the throttle body and it is a known failure point on Volvo cars with the 5 pot.
April 25, 2015, 08:03:09 PM
some of my setup secrets that would make people think WTF!
April 25, 2015, 08:01:59 PM
WL 24mm adjustable rear bar offsets the drop link angle forwards or backwards, I'm not keen on them. The MPS bar keeps stock position and has more compliant rubber bushes for a more progressive action. My car's performance on track is a testament to setup as well as driving, I have started airing
April 25, 2015, 07:31:05 PM
Got an error code PO193, has anyone got any idea what could be wrong. Car runs fine.help please??
April 25, 2015, 07:10:53 PM
Yes do it with clutch, piece of piss then.
April 25, 2015, 06:52:40 PM
WL rear 24mm bar has 2 holes so in essence it is 24 and maybe 25 bar in one. Bear in mind, not all bars are created with the same torsional strength. HD droplinks influence rate too.
April 25, 2015, 06:50:16 PM
Also, clutch install requires dropping the subframe yes? Might be a sneaky way to save on labour if that's the case.
April 25, 2015, 06:46:07 PM
Fair enough, yup plan is 24mm front and 25mm rear. I want to retain near stock balance without too much oversteery schenanigans. Will be followed with B14s, WALK, bump steer kit and hardrace arms. Should handle fine Smiley
April 25, 2015, 05:55:46 PM
Need the Mazda drop links as the holes in the bar are larger. Also need the Mazda bushes and shells.
April 25, 2015, 05:54:35 PM
I have a stock 3MPS rear bar, 25mm :-)

I think TAGBOG's idea would look good on the left hand side and maybe some side stripes?
